The Store!

Here is Ron, owner and proprietor of the store. If you get a chance to visit beautiful Punta Gorda, besure to stop at Olde Punta Gorda Cigar and Tobacco Emporium. There, as likely as not you will meet the proprietor, Ron Andrews. He can answer any questions about cigars you might ask, and can walk you through his well stocked humidor.

Sometimes however, Ron leaves the store in the capable hands of his staff. That occurs when he travels to Honduras to inspect what might become part of his Olde Punta Gorda Private Reserve in 2008 if it survives the rigorous inspections and specifications Ron demands for his Private Label cigars.

Each Olde Punta Gorda Private Reserve Cigar is handrolled by skilled rollers. This skill takes many years of apprenticeship and a master roller is almost an artist in his ability to place just the right amount of filler leaf, with the correct binder leaf, and then secure it with the finest wrapper leaf. All this while maintaining astonishing consistancy in size and appearance. Remember, these cigars are made one at a time, by hand. No machines here!

As you enter the store, the front counter offers you every accessory you might need to enjoy that Olde Punta Gorda Private Reserve Cigar. Every thing from cutters, to torches, holders and pocket humidors.

Next, wander into the extensively stocked humidor. Or better yet, let Ron introduce you to a variety of cigars to fit any one's taste or preference.

coffeeshop.JPG (166503 bytes) Once that special cigar is in your hand, walk through the archway into the Cup o' Cubanna where Ron serves up fresh brewed coffee. Ron brews regular coffees as well as cuban coffees and even cappuccino.
Grab your cigar and coffee and wander into the smoking lounge. Heavy leather sofas and Florida style chairs, mixed with unique Cigar Posters and original paintings in the cuban, art deco style offer a refuge from the outside world. Stay a while and pretty soon the regulars will wander in for a smoke and some conversation. No topic is taboo.

And don't forget, should your taste in cigars run to another brand, Olde Punta Gorda Cigar carries many of the popular brands like Cuesta-Rey
